This is deliberate as it reflects the true state of modern pathology. We feel that it is important that pathologists in each sub-specialty should be more aware of activity in their colleagues’ laboratories. This book intends to represent standard methods and fairly recent advances within them. It is again stressed that compartmentalization of pathology and laboratory medicine is artificial although often convenient.
